8 Months and Whistling

Evelyn can whistle! It is the cutest thing you have ever seen! We have a little phone video of it but all you can see is her lips working but there's so much back ground noise you can't here the sounds she whistles. It's so funny because she can do different notes and go up and down. The funny thing is that Steven and I have no idea where she picked it up at. We don't whistle to her...
I do have a really good video of it on my camcorder BUT for the life of me I cannot get the video's from that stupid thing on my computer...any suggestions? He's the video of just her lips moving and back ground noise...(just watched it again, if you listen real close you can hear a couple but not nearly the quality of my actual video recorder)

So today she is 8 months old and we had our whole photo shoot planned since we're at my parents house (I even made her outfit) and it snowed....so here are some phone pictures from the last month. Actual 8 months photo's to come.

We (Evelyn and I) went to Salt Lake to see Amanda the secondish week of February. Steven was in Seattle for work so we had ourselves a little vacation. We got a baby sitter on night and went to my first 3-D movie (hence dark picture with large glasses) and it was AMAZING. We saw Megamind and let it be known that I will be a frequenter of the 3-D experience.

Anything to calm a crying baby....I let her be a firefighter in DI until we were ready to leave

Well worth a Dare

When we got back from Salt Lake, Steven took us out to dinner. Evelyn did a good job ordering

That weekend I was packing for us to com to Washington to see my parents and Sabrina (who just got off her mission on Feb 16, can't find the pictures) and I walked out of the room VERY momentarily, and came back to find Evelyn tangled in a pile of dirty clothes about to suck on our Internet cord.

Caught in the act

Then for our Valentines outing, we got a baby sitter who's apartments have indoor hallways, like a hotel set up, and saw this sign....really...you let your dog poop in a carpet indoor hallway...and then leave it?

And then we're home, and my mom decided that she could probably do the splits because my niece Gracie can almost do them and she wanted to make sure before she showed up Gracie and she could do it. First try. Amanda totally stole my joke on her blog but it's worth repeating...If you think this is impressive, you should see what she can do on the parallel bars!

Evelyn got a new swim suit today courtesy of grandma. It has ruffles on the thighs

Happy in her car seat

Not happy in her car seat so I took off her clothes but her onsie and she was then content to suck on her feet

We had the nicest stewardess on the flight to Spokane...so this is Evelyn in the cockpit of the plane.

Braggin' on the Baby

This week, Evelyn has kicked the habit. She is no longer patient enough with her bottle and refuses and liquid substance. Which, put a lot more pressure on me to make sure she's getting all of her vitamins and what nots in but SO much cheaper. We went and got one of those hand held food mills and just grind up whatever we're eating and it works like a charm.

She also has a very cute way of letting me know she's done. She tears off her bib. I say tear because she does it with vigor, when she's done, she is done!

She also can say mamma. I know most, if not all 7 month babies make the 'mamamama' sound BUT Evelyn only does is when shes poopy. She sticks her arms out for me to grab her and cries 'mamma mamma' until I get he diaper off.

She's also is a share bear...another reason why I'm glad she kicked the bottle. She shares her bottle with Daisy...very gross. But one of the cuter shares was also before she kicked the habit, I was feeding her in bed in the dark trying to get her to go to bed, and she put her bottle up to my mouth. I'm not really into formula, but I appreciate the gesture.

And a few picture for the last two weeks:

Playing Tug of War with Daisy after she ripped her bib off.

I've been having to cut her naps short or she stays up too late...she doesn't really like that

Helping me read a book

She LOVES her bouncy and also surprisingly when I blow on her face...this is the result when I blow on her face in her bouncy. Happiest baby ever!

Daisy sized couch...no we do not have a full sized couch..or chair so yes...this is where I also lounge and read books

As I mention in my last blog, we've been sick. This is a result of one of those sick days. Laying in bed with laundry everywhere and Evelyn playing with her vapor chest rub.

So if you can't tell what this is...it's an open sore. A few weeks, like three weeks ago I woke up with a spider bit and it slowly started deteriorating the surface of my skin until it was about the size of a nickle...a gross pussy, yellow, scabby, concaved nickle...too much? Maybe, but remember it's on me. Now it's closer to dime size and normal scabby so we're improving.
