So much for blogging every week. We've been so busy!! So here's the rest of May in picture format.
The kids love this bouncy house Angela scored at a yard sale last summer. Amanda and baby Jake came to visit us and for whatever reason, I have very few pictures of while they were here.
Caden insists on being in a high chair every time Jakey comes.
Evelyn suffered a serious fall on the sidewalk and refused to walk for an hour or so, so I wheeled her around for a bit. She looks so sad....
And Caden, clean as always.....
We helped plant the garden at Grammy and Papa's. Evelyn and Caden loved it! They did the onions all by themselves. Evelyn got to hang out and plant a lot more because, as always, Caden got a little naughty and was stomping on all the plants.
We brought out the ole' guitar hero and had a rockin' good time one night while Amanda was here.
Matching flannels. Caden just loves his Papa
We had to do some creative car seat moving after going Costco shopping on day after Grammy has been watching the kids, and this is what we came up with.
The power went out during Sunday Supper on the Mountain and Caden just thought dinner be candle light was the coolest thing ever.
And tower building, of course. We love tower building.
Caden's not too big for that is he? ... He's only just 2 1/2 in this picture but the size of a 4 year old...
And of course, the weather gets warmer and the s'mores come out!
And the projects start... we took down the paneling on a wall downstairs in hopes of tearing down the whole wall that day. But as projects always go....there were some complications. The floor joists switch directions for the first two rooms downstairs so we have to get a giant beam to take down that wall...which we still are going to do, but that's not the one day project we had hoped it would be.
But we got the bar back there in the corner out! YAY!
And then the dishwasher broke....
Next Project.... STUMP REMOVAL! Big YAY! We rented a backhoe and Steven's Dad came to operate it and his mom came to help with all sorts of things too. It was an oober productive two days. The kids loved it. Caden just loves tractors
Helping G-ma with weeds
Caden's a little sensitive to noise and boy was it noisy!
But they loved to ride with Papa J
Caden would literally skip to the backhoe when it was his turn for a ride
And he had a prime seat for the removal
Evelyn and G-ma had the right idea though...watch in the shade!
I gave the backhoe a go. Drove it down and pulled me out a stump...
Caden's stink eye when he was not on the backhoe
Steven pulled him out a stump too
So much Dirt!!! the kids were having the time of their lives!
Hey Evelyn!!! Whatcha doin?
Makin' dirt angels mom!
Evelyn wasn't quite sure how she felt about the tractor rides...
That is until she saw the camera was out
Just so you can get a feel of how bit these stumps were and the size of the holes they made. It was a mess!
I love this picture! Caden's smiling so big, it actually looks painful to be as happy as he is
Evelyn presents...all of our stumps
I'm telling you, this boy's face is never clean. Even when we haven't spent two days in dirt, it looks about this good.
Family picture!
Steven gave the kids laps around the yard after the stumps were gone and the holes were filled
Then.....Next project...we had a guy with a skid steer come in and grade everything all nice and smooth so we can put a sprinkler system in and plant grass this fall.We had him take away some dirt here so we can terrace it
I tried my best to get a picture of Caden in these shoes but he was prancing so fast they all turned out blurry, but boy can he run in high heels!
And then our May sleep pictures...
