So starting with last Sunday, we had big news...Evelyn's hair, that I've almost always kept short but now she's trying to grow out like Elsa, was finally long enough to put up in a real pony tail and she wanted it thoroughly documented.
And we had a birthday dinner up on the mountain for Grammy. On the way up there the weather was so fun to watch. It was rainy, it was sunny, it was dusty, some of the sky was gold while other parts right next to the gold were almost black, and then Caden spotted this... and made everyone's day
I swear it was super bright in person and then there was another faded rainbow right over that big bush...Double Rainbow!!!
So dinner was good. We made me and Stevens new favorite meal, Moroccan chicken wraps, and I made the cake. It took a few days to make it, but it was pretty good.
The next day we hit up the farm. One of Angela's sows had piglets on Saturday so we had to go check it out. Evelyn's bestie, Ana, came along with us and she wasn't so sure of life on the farm. But her and Evelyn held hands everywhere they went so it was super cute and I think she had a good time. Evelyn and Caden always love trips to McCollough Farm.
And then tooth #3 came out this week. It was hurting her so bad so I told her if it came out it would relieve the pressure and feel better, but it took some doing to get it out. When I pull her teeth I put one hand on her head to stabilize her head and the other grabbing the tooth. Well every time I try to pull up, she grabs both my arms and pulls down, so that really effective...we got it though.
And then the next morning we found out why it was hurting her so bad. That tooth from the previous blog, the one you could hardly see, well when we pulled that there tooth, it was still just barely peaking and by the morning after, she was fully erupt. That baby needed some room to breath. Although, the one big tooth she has in is the same size as the three she lost, so I'm not sure how this all works out in the end...Also, funny Evelyn story. Apparently, even in kindergarten, there are really cool things. And the cool thing in Kindergarten is to have big teeth. Not big as in adult, but big as in it's so cool to have the physically biggest teeth. So if you happen to loose your top front teeth first, that's the coolest because they come in the largest.
One nice day at Moose Park
That same day after Caden decided it was a good idea to lick his fingers and grab a partially plugged in cord right at the socket
I was able to go grocery shopping for the month this week. I just love a full fridge. I did plead my case to Steven though, that by the time Caden is 7, I will be needing a much larger fridge.
Anther fun day outside. Playing crime scene.. not really, they just like to outline each other then color pictures in themSince it's been sunny, Caden busted out the sun glasses papa got him last summer and has been proudly sporting them every where we go.
We signed up for a family fun run for the end of March so we've been going on long walks to practice. This one was just over a mile and sweet little Caden told me his tummy hurt and I asked him where and he pointed high up on his ribs...poor little man got a stitch in his side. Exercise is hard
I got Evelyn the cutest little romper you've ever seen but...She said she's never seen any other kids wearing them so she told me this.."I really like the color and I really like the pattern, it's just, I wanna keep it but I've never seen anyone wear one so, lets keep it until I see someone at school wear one, then I'll wear it because I really like it."....
We're also dog sitting this weekend for some friends and the kids are just over the moon about it. He's a really sweet dog there's just one problem...he's like a freaking gazelle and can jump our fence. so the kids have been keeping a close eye on him
Costco was super busy yesterday so there was no where to eat our lunch so we ate it in the car. A 3 year old eating Caesar salad in a car seat...nothing can possibly go wrong here.
I also made the kids chocolate tea. They thought that was pretty funny (mini chocolate chips)
And I finally spent my Christmas present money to JcPenny. I got this sweet Columbia jacket for 80% off so I'm pretty happy about it.
We got a sitter so we could go out, I got my hair trimmed and we shopped the mall a bit and then went out to dinner, and when we got home these little kits were tuckered out. We just love our sitter. She actually plays with the kids and is worth every penny. And the kids just love her too. So...win, win
