How is August almost over?

This summer is seriously flying by! Evelyn starts Kindergarten in only 17 sleeps and we can hardly believe it! We've got all our shopping done and even picked up some stories on what to expect in kindergarten, including, or course, the Berenstain Bears go to school.
Even if we are so busy, I hardly even know what to do with myself, the kids have these kinds of days...where they are so bored they lay on the floor saying how bored they are

A good look, I know. I helped my mommy with a few things around her house to get ready for Greg, his girlfriend Jennifer, her son Haggan, and of, course little Gracie. As payment, good ole' mommy scratched my head for one whole Seinfeld episode, resulting in this...Me so happy!
That night, Steven had a work event so me and the kids just bunked up on the mountain. Evelyn always wants to sleep with me and she always hogs the king size bed. So I told her, if you fall asleep as close to the wall as you can, you can stay in the bed and I won't move you to the floor...So I come in to this that night....
Caden sat on a single gold fish and it left a perfect grease fish...who knew!
The kids had so much fun with Gracie and Haggan. Him and Caden were best friends from the time they said hello, to the tackle hug goodbye

The kids slept good every night that week after playing hard all day with the cousins..
And Gracie turned 11!! Can't even believe it. It only took 3 days to make this cake...that's all. It's not real easy making large cakes wrapped in marshmallow that looks like playdoh with two kids around.

No...we don't have bubble bath. Caden emptied and entire bottle of shampoo in his bath and when I asked him what happened his reply was," I made this mess and I like this mess."
Just a little towel time in Evelyn's room.
We took a trip to the mall to get Evelyn's hair cut and the JC Penny's had a nice little seat for Cade in the bathroom
We all have so much fun at the salon!

I liked Evelyn's hair cut so much, I went back there and got mine done. The girl was a half hour late for my appointment and I was her first appointment of the day, so I'm thinking, half hour late- there's no way this girl is getting  tip!, but she did such a good job, not only did I tip her, but I bought all the products she used in my hair!
Out at Grammy and Papa's, Caden said he wanted to drink out of a bowl outside like Daisy...so I was happy to oblige.
This was Jose Caden's stache...he likes the dirt
Evelyn got invited on a play date with Aunt Renee so I let her wear some of her kindergarten clothes for the occasion, so she wanted lots of pictures

And a play date they did have!! They did all the things to do in Spokane in one afternoon. They went to the downtown mall
And to the Riverfront Park splash pad

She had her very first snow cone
And took a ride on the carousel
 Rode the giant wagon

Even got to ride the gondola that goes over the river

And lastly, begrudgingly, so I was told, took a picture with the strange metal runners. She had such a good time with Aunt Renee.
While Evelyn was out on the town, I asked Caden what he wanted to do and out of anything he could have chosen, he said he wanted to walk around Fred Myers....So we did. He got a hot wheels helicopter then a burger, fries, an ice cream on  the way home. And when we got home he wanted to eat his food on the porch and color...cheap date!
Good ole' Caden...I say, guys! lets get going to the gym! you ready?, Caden comes running out screaming, I'm ready, I'm ready!....wearing a cat costume

We love bath bombs! Just today I learned that you can actually make your own bath bombs, but the kids love the colorful bath water.

Caden is rather quickly catching up to Evelyn in size. She still tries her best to pick him up. this usually leads to both of them falling, but within the last week, she's lost her ability to even pick him up a millimeter. That boys not budging.
 Caden....he loves him some markers.
Steven had a golf tournament in Colville on a Saturday. I love being home with the kids, I really do, but one more day all alone seemed over my limit this week. So I told the kids we could go anywhere they wanted top go. We narrowed it down to a movie, Get Air, or Chuckee Cheese. Evelyn's vote was for Chuckee Cheese. Since we have been at my parents house nearly every day this last week, she got in some good TV time and loved watching the commercials. Well Chuckee Cheese has some awesome commercials. She was telling me all about this ride, and this game and how cool this and that was because of this! and then she said, " And Mom! they have and all new adult menu so you'll have  good time too!" Well done Chuckee Cheese ad department, well done. In the end, their friends thought Get Air would be a good time so we did that, and it was a good time.

Looks pretty cool huh? Well we get there before my friend so I get all of our passes for me, Evelyn, and Caden, then the Willards get there. I say to Amina, "Are you so excited to get your jump on!?" her response..,"Um, yeah, I don't do this. did you buy yourself a pass!?" well we had a pretty good laugh about that. I just saved my pass for another time when I can take Steven. I was not going to be the only parent jumping with their kid....Stupid, play ground, trampoline loving me

Caden didn't quite make the whole hour session. He was beat.
